This is the thread I want to make, because everything that Aang means to Alyssa, Sokka means to me. I rarely go a day without quoting Sokka, even now years after the show has finished. He carried the show on his back through Season One for me, he had one of the greatest trans-gender bromances with Momo over the span of the show, he was a man who was brilliant but his own worst enemy, and by the end of the show we have this sexist jerk turned heroic soldier, bending be damned.

I'm convinced he's in the stars with Yue.

I love Sokka too and you are quite right. He turned from this stupid teenage guy with dumb priorities into a hero, and it was awesome to watch him develop. I almost cry every time I watch the scene with him and Toph fighting the air ships at the end, where they nearly die. Also his father/son moments with Hakoda are great and his training with Piandao was one of my favorites.

I really miss this guy. There isn't another like him in the new series and it's sad he's the only one we haven't really heard from or anything about.
