So as I was watching the latest episode, Book 2: Beginnings, I was starting a hypotehsis of how Wan managed to gain all the elements.
As of now, he has firebending, bestowed on him from his home-lion-turtle. When the lemur spirit guy said there were other lion-turtle cities, I was like,
Whoa. Whoa.
I bet that the other lion turtles bestow different gifts. I assume from some myth I read about a long time ago...that there are four turtles, one for each cardinal direction. And I bet each lion-turtle gives their hunters a different element.
Now that Wan is on his journey to find other cities, I bet that he will get the other lion-turtles to give him the power, and be the first and only person to have all the gifts. And over time due to his involvements with the spirits, his avatar-spirit will manifest and thus, the first avatar.
