{spoilers if you haven't watched The Beginning episode]
First time I saw Wan, I was like "What's with his hair? Is this some Japanese anime?" It just stuck up so tall.
His cocky grin reminds me of Aang.
Overall, I was a little iffy. I liked Wan, but I just didn't quite understand how this thief could be the one to be the first Avatar. After awhile it started to make a little sense. He was rebelling against injustice. But at the same time, he also stole his firebending power, and acted a little more like a more-sane Jet or a Blue Spirit than a righteous leader.
I liked his character through that whole ordeal, don't get me wrong. It was still just a little hard to see him as an avatar.
I really liked the idea of him learning from spirits that were manifest in the world. The world world was really amazing. More of that in the episode's thread :3
Overall, I really like Wan. Though he does have a attitude I can't quite place that I feel isn't avatar-ish, he does have good intentions in heart and wants to help others.
