I believe they call it Borra ... Well, I don't really ship anything too hard in Korra (EXCEPT MEXTAHNO OTP 5EVER DURRR) But I will say that I think Borra is adorable. I ship it more than other ships, but I don't know how great of a chance it has. I feel Korra always will see Bolin more as a good friend and always have eyes for Mako... especially after what happened in "A Spirit of Competition" I mean Korra totally seemed to forget her whole date with Bolin the minute she and Mako had their little moment. ... I used to be a Borra shipper until Tahno came along. But I do still like this ship. I think that the two of them get along really well, and Bolin is honestly an extremely sweet guy. Even if they don't end up as a couple, I can see the two of them as being great friends who can rely on each other. So I hope it turns out like that. Either way, I'd be happy. (So long as Makorra doesn't work out, because Makorra doesn't make me happy) |

I THOUGHT I COULD NEVER LOVE A CHARACTER AS MUCH AS I IMMEDIATELY LOVED ZUKO.
BUT THEN ... BOLIN.
I HAVE SO MANY FEELS ABOUT HIM.
I DON'T KNOW HOW TO HANDLE THEM.
Also it makes the fifteen year old girl inside of me mad for "abandoning Zuko."

I understand that sexual tension is important to some people...
But ... ... I've had my share of sexually tense situations, and let me tell you:
Someone you can laugh and burp and chillax with can be EXTREMELY sexy, too.
And I'm sorry to be an old lady here, but: Those are the things necessary for a long-term thing.
The fiery sex-passions usually go away after years and years of being together.
And then if that was all that drew you together in the first place, sometimes you're left with nothing.
DON'T GET ME WRONG.
I ship sexually tense ships too.
... I ship all the ships, to be honest.
But I love Bolin and Korra because they just seem so ... real.
They get along. And just mesh. And Bolin is so fantastic and sweet and utterly WONDERFUL.
I want his crush to be fulfilled (much like I wanted Aang's crush to be fulfilled, actually!).
Also, notice all my caps.
I can't control them. I JUST ... THE FEELS ...

YEAH! I feel the same way about the whole Borra ship! It's got a lot of realness. SHE'S STRONG, HE'S STRONG; SHE'S FUN, HE'S FUN; SHE'S BEAUTIFUL... HE'S GORGEOUS!!

But yes, I have a lot of feels for Borra. I don't do any hardcore shipping like I did back in the original series, but I definitely like Borra the most.
And I hear ya, Kat. Being someone who's been there in the "sexual-tension" type deals... They're fun/exciting but really it's hard to make them into something real and something that lasts.

But yes, I have a lot of feels for Borra. I don't do any hardcore shipping like I did back in the original series, but I definitely like Borra the most. Saaaaaame. My hardcore shipping days are over, apparently. ....... Maybe you age out of that at some point? Although, I did feel some pretty hardcore sadness for Asami after this past episode. And ... not gonna lie ... I shipped Makorra a TEENSY bit at the end there. Just because. So sweet. Of course, Bolin was a badass the whole episode AS USUAL. Including when he was peeing in the beginning. Yes. Even that. ... I swear, how can anyone NOT love him? TRY TO CHI-BLOCK THAT! (Korra and Bolin still work the best together. All of the Makorra feels in the world could not change this fact.) |
