Long story! Here it goes. *deep breath* Well, ya see, the first forum I ever joined was a very small Avatar: the Last Airbender based forum, and I was somehow forced into a role playing thread (they PM'd me and told me to be Katara, so I was like "Okay!"). The RP was a "Slumber Party" and really weird stuff happened all over the place like the fridge getting knocked over and break in's and stuff. Really lame (probably didn't help I was probably like 10 at the time). After that I joined a different role playing site, a LotGD (Legend of the Green Dragon - there are many of them, all with different themes). It's a text-based RPG kinda like an interactive D&D where you level up and kill the dragon and chat with people while doing it. Fun stuff. This particular one was Eragon-based. Anyways, so I used the name Katara there since that was the first RP name I ever used, and even played her as the real Katara for awhile. Then that site died and a new LotGD opened up, and I changed Katara from a waterbender to a Nephilim (half angel/half human). And I made up lore about Nephilim and stuff, and one of them was that an angel's real name is spelled backwards. I came up with that because my crazy "sister" on the site called me Aratak (Katara backwards). And it kinda stuck. The story could get longer, but that's everything that led up to it at least!  So from then on, I've used Aratak for lots of things. Cookie for you if you actually read all that! |

Gospar comes from GospelEXE, which also comes from a childhood video game I played, Megaman Battle Network 2. During my early teens (where I stand at 23 now) I played lots and lots of Starcraft, where I just had the username "Freezeman777" since I loved that character from the game for whatever reason. Then suddenly, two people, great friends with each other join up on a game I had and noticed my name. We started talking about MMBN2 and how great it was, until we decided that due to our mutual interest, we start up a clan.
We all made new screen names, where those two were Megaman.EXE and Protoman.EXE already taken right off the bat. I originally was going to stick with Freezeman.EXE, but decided to be something more superior, that being Gospel.EXE. Due to obvious reasons that we can't have special characters in our names, I just went with GospelEXE, originally having a "33" suffix at the end of the name.
I've just been going with that name since then, until somehow it lead into the nickname Gospar, which I don't remember the exact story myself.
Some of you know that I also go by the name Flayd, and a rather weird story at that. I used to be quite a "hardcore" player on the MMORPG MapleStory (which I'll admit, I do miss sometimes). I was trying to make a new character, but couldn't for the life of me think of a name... So what do I do? Just mash a bunch of random keys, stare at it, maybe do a little random letter shuffling, and see what I can make out of it... And then... Well, you get Flayd. So, there you go.
On that note, when it comes to female video game or roleplaying characters, Myrilia is often used by me, which was generated by the very same fate. Go figure. Hahaha.

My original, super retro name "Devoid" came about because I was even more angsty back then than I am now, and I thought it sounded fitting.
My current name happened because I was listening to a song called "Piranha", and I thought a Piranha that could fly would be pretty fucking scary, so I stuck with it.

I don't even remember where I got mine from. I think I was like 12 and was going through an "emo phase" and started using it. It ended up just sticking.  |
