I think Korra's character is so exciting. When I watched the first episode, I loved her so much because I saw so much room for character development. And what's more exciting than character development? I do think we're finally seeing some development with Korra. When she told Mako to go console Asami it showed a lot of maturity that Korra didn't have in the first episode. I also really love how different Korra is from Aang, it makes her an even more interesting character.
Also, may I just say how awesome it is to have a dynamic, kickass female protagonist who shows some muscles and is super strong.

I really like Korra, for the most part. I fell in love with her in the first episode too. I had to run out and cosplay her! xD She's so fun to cosplay as and I really can get into character well as her...
Anyway, I think Korra's really interesting and also I love how strong she is but how much trouble she has with Airbending. It's really got her frustrated. I think she's maturing a lot already compared to the other characters. And yes, she's so kickass. And she has a polar bear dog and nothing is cooler than riding around on a polar bear dog.

While blow-drying and styling my hair, I was thinking about Korra.
I was thinking about how distracted I feel she is. Part of me doesn't think she fully understands the responsibility she has by simply being the avatar. I feel like she got so easily caught up in the pro-bending tournament and all of the political hoopla around the city and all you hear her say is, "Well, I'm the avatar."
She's so fixated on the physical bending, I'm almost sad to see how disconnected she is from the spiritual realm. She wants to help because she knows it's her place to make change, but she doesn't know how to implement it other than fighting.
I'm dying for her to just get her head straight and delve into meditation and find the spirit within herself to connect with past avatars. I FEEL LIKE IT IS OVERDUE.

I think it's really interesting to have an avatar who is pretty distracted and isn't spiritual at all. It makes for a complex character and, of course, room for character development! I'm really excited to see what we see of Korra in the future. I think in the next episode we'll see Korra maturing because she'll hopefully be more in tune with her spiritual side.
